F8 and Safe Mode: Win7 E545

Lenovo Thinkpad Edge E545 with Win7.

I can't get Safe Mode by pressing F8.

Is this a known bug, or is something wrong with my brand-new laptop?

Re: F8 and Safe Mode: Win7 E545

Hello and welcome,

I don't have any personal experience with that machine.  Is it one of those that can use the function keys for other purposes?  Multimedia functions, for instance.

It may be that you need Fn+F8 to get to safe mode if the keys default to their special uses rather than to legacy-style function key operation.
