What operating system are you using? Windows 7? If you wipe the hard drive you will lose your Recovery Partition so I
would avoid doing this unless you have a Recovery or Windows 7 Installation DVD and a KEY.

You may also want to download all of your important drivers to a USB for easier installation after the clean install.
Open your device Manager and compare the drivers you have now, you can download your Lenovo Drivers here.
Also with internet access after the Clean Install you can download th System Update 5.01 . System Update downloads data updates for software, drivers, and BIOS from a Lenovo server directly over the Internet without requiring specific user knowledge of where the package is located or if it is needed by the target system.

I have a similar issue, I d like to factory restore, but i wish no win7 refresh, just the lenovo one..
What about using the Q partition without the f11 key? how to start that program?
I have no dvd s, just backed the data in HDD.
