If I add RAM does it void warranty?

2017-01-10, 20:36 PM

On a Thinkpad E555. Have 11 days left on the standard warranty.

I'm about to add 4 GB of RAM - not removing the existing RAM, but putting it in the empty slot - and am unclear if this voids the warranty or not. As far as I can tell, it doesn't, but would like clarification.

It does not void the warranty.

If you break it while taking it apart, damage you cause is not covered.
