You can do something which is not recomendet from anyone, but i've personally tested it and it works.
There are some BIOS modding forums in which you can find or ask someone to remove that whitelist from the bios.
I have done that a couple of times and i never had problems. Nobody will know, but if you go to warranty repair for some reason and the guys there decide that they're gonna to upgrade/downgrade your bios (again for some reason) they're going to be very confused of "what is happening"... hahah
Anyway i'am agains that "whitelist" policy from the vendors, i know Lenovo want to sell parts, but to overprice something 5 + times is madness...
