Lenovo Thinkpad E470 is one of the worst laptop i ever came across. We have 15-20 laptops and from day1 we are facing issues. Firstly there was a issue with Screen flickering we tried all the possible fixes and it took almost 1month to get fixed. It is dead slow and doesn't respond for most of the time. Now we are facing some crazy issue. By default it doesn't detect LAN. We need to enable and Disable Lan adapter then it works for 3-4 hours then all of a sudden it stops working again. If we try to disable and Enable the Lan adapter the LAN adapter disappears completely. Please lenovo technical team reply dont send a system generated mails. Your service is so worst.

I have exactly the same problem with my E470. When I boot the ethernet is working. After some time it stops working. If i go to the network card and try to disable it and re-enable again it disappears. The only way to get it back is to reboot the machine.

1) try to go into:
control panel --> network and connection --> network connection --> right button on ethernet --> properties --> settings --> energy managment and then remove the check to "allow the pc to shut down the card for energy saving"
control panel --> energy saving option --> setting --> advance setting --> pci express or lan (if you have) --> disable energy saving
Let me know.
