I bought a used Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E545 with the A6 processor on Criagslist yesterday. I tested it before buying, and everything seemed fine, but when I brought it home and reset Windows 8 to get rid of personal files that may have been on the PC, the screen shut off around the time it started loading icons in the taskbar. I had to do a hard reset and since then, the computer restarts without any error messages at any given time, usually after a minute or two of use. I've done a few resets--I even tried to upgrade to Windows 10--and all I fixed were the blank icons in the taskbar and Internet Explorer not starting. It can't be a power issue because it works perfectly fine in safe mode. Please help me with this problem; I don't want the $149 I spent on this to turn out to be a waste.
UPDATE: Turns out I just needed to update my video drivers. Lucky I was able to do it without the PC restarting itself. Oh, absent-minded me.
