Because we've had the machine for 2 years, it's very difficult to find any information on this. Any help would be greatly appreciated:
I confirmed that we purchased a Lenovo ThinkPad EDGE 0301CTO with bluetooth -- but until now, we have not ever tried to use it. [We're running Windows 7 [64-bit] on it.]
There is no Bluetooth Control Panel with which to add a device [in our case, a bluetooth mouse].
The only information I can find lists using the Fn+F5 key to access a window to enable it [yet, this was for a different model]. Using these keys doesn't bring up any such window.
I would suppose adding a bluetooth mouse would be much less of an ordeal than this is becoming. I must be missing something.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.

If you enter the BIOS of your machine by tapping Enter at the splash screen (screen that says Lenovo while starting up), there should be a tab called Security. Open this tab and then select I/O Port Access. Is there a Bluetooth setting in this list? If so, is it set to Enabled?
If the Bluetooth is set to Enabled, then I would recommend making sure all the drivers (Bluetooth, BIOS, and chipset, in particular) are up to date. All drivers for your machine can be found here.
Good luck, and let me know how it goes

There is no control for Bluetooth in Win 8 until you download the Broadcom divers. Then you get an Icon to switch it ON/Off. If left on it will drain the battery very quick.

On 0301CTO it is the F9 key to get to to the wireless radios and then click lndividual control at the bottom that will show you the bluetooth.
