My name is Manasa and I recently purchased E570 laptop and i have below question .
This is regarding my New E570 thinkpad i purchased. when i configured this laptop the processor configuration was shown as • Processor: Intel Core i7-7500U Processor (4MB Cache, up to 3.5Ghz). Same configuration was provided in my email confirmation of the order.
However when i received laptop the processor configuration shown is Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7500 CPU @2.70GHZ 2.90 GHZ
1. Wanted to know if the difference in GHZ is expected i.e. when it says up to 3.5GHZ do we only only 2.70 GHZ ?
2. Will there be any performance difference if any beacuse of the change in GHZ ?
Please provide your comments

Welcome to the forum, Manasa.
According to Intel the base frquency is 2.7GHz and the maximum Turbo frequency is 3.5GHz. See Intel® Core™ i7-7500U Processor (4M Cache, up to 3.50 GHz ). I presume the system normally runs at 2.7 in order to minimize heat and power consumption but can go as fast as 3.5 for CPU-intensive applications.
