My E480 built in microphone has recently started picking up a whistling noise. It happens on all programs, and although it sounds like feedback, it's not. It still occurs even when the input is not played over the speakers, the speakers are muted, or I'm using headphones. The only thing I can come up with this is a motherboard/sound card issue, but I want to post here to see if it could be something software related that I wouldn't have to send it in for.
