Moving Hard Drive from one 20D9 to another

Long story short, I found a way to mess up my Thinkpad 11e 20D9. The hard drive is fine, other parts of the insides are not.

I found several replacements on eBay in good physical health and purchased one. Now I'm curious if moving my 500 GB SSD from my old to the replacement will work. All the specs between the two machines are exact, the only difference I saw from my dead model to the replacement was the size of the HDD installed. Thoughts?

Re: Moving Hard Drive from one 20D9 to another

Hi njh108,

Greetings.

Since the old harddrive works on the same unit with the same specification this would be worth a try as we expect this to work in a normal working state just like upgrades on your RAM.

Update us how this goes.

Regards
