Need driver for my CDRW/DVDRW drive, Thinkpad E545 Windows 7 Pro cannot find the drive at all

Hey everyone!  I've had my Thinkpad Edge E545 with Windows 7 Pro for well over a year, maybe a year and a half, but it stopped recognizing my CDRW/DVDRW drive a month or so ago.  I thought maybe it was a glitch that would work itself out with a restart, and I forgot about it until yesterday when I needed it again.

 

The drive does not even show up in device manager at all.  When I put a CD in, it spins for a few seconds, but it doesn't register with the computer, never shows up in My Computer or in Device Manager.  I'd love to at least see the drive with a yellow exclamation point!

 

Seaching the support section of this site, I could not find a driver for it anywhere.  Does anyone know where I can get one, or have some other solution that I may be able to try?  I'd appreciate any help I can get!

When I try to run the diagnostic software, it says "Optical Drive not available" in the background, and when I click "Run", I get the message "Run Tests", I get the message, "No available tests for the current selection of Run All".  I've tried "Quick" and "Extended".
