I am having a Lenovo Twist S230u laptop. It is the most comfortable laptop I ever had except it has this one issue. Whenever, I work on the thinkpad, all of a sudden the BSOD appears with the message "SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (fastboot.sys)". Once restarted, everything works fine. But, this issue occurs frequently I did search through the internet, but I cannot find any issues related to fastboot.sys. Please help.
Thanks in advance.

I don't recall seeing a SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED in FASTBOOT.SYS error message before on a ThinkPad S230.
A few things to check, in no particular (or at least, very rough) order::
If no errors occur for a few days after performing these activities, go ahead and re-enable hibernation by opening an elevated Command Prompt (filename: CMD.EXE) and issuing a "POWERCFG.EXE -H ON" command at the command prompt, then restarting the system.

BTW, may I know how long will the check disk for error will take? For me it is stuck at 11% for the past 30 mins. Is this normal?
Re: Now the CHKDSK is over. I will wait for couple of days to see if the issue is resolved. Thx

The amount of time it takes for a ChkDsk to finish varies greatly depending upon the speed of the drive, amount of files on it, size of the files, and how spread out they are (fragmented) across the disk. In some cases, it can be about an hour (fast, mostly empty drive). In worse cases (slow, external, very full drive) it can take over a day.
