i recently had a liquid damage happen to my Thinkpad E485. After that, i got a beep code that the Lenovo Diagnostics smartphone app identified as '01102F'. Its 7x short beeps all varying in tone. I attached a recording to the post. The code starts about 4 seconds in.
When does the beeping occur?
About 10 seconds after starting the device.
What does work?
IF attached to an external monitor:
Beep code, then the Lenovo logo shows, then the Lenovo Diagnostic Tools will show. All Cpu/Memory/Board tests are passed.
Upon installing a ssd into the nvm m.2 slot, the OS will boot up. It works seemingly without problems.
IF not attached to an external monitor and the integrated display is used:
Beep Code, Black screen.
Other damage noticed:
Upon dissasembling, i noticed a the connectors of a IC labeled IT8996E-256 seem to be damaged / corroded.
Close to the chip, a capacitor perhaps bursted.
Any help much appriciated.
