I am planning to upgrade my laptop memory to 16 GB. Currently having 8gb.
Can anyone give me correct info about the upgrading the ram. Like, type of ram which compatable with my laptop and the process to go ahead.

The maximum memory supported by the E530 is 16GB (2x8GB). The memory module which works fine would be a PC3-12800 1600MHz DDR3. The factory installed memory is probably the best you can buy.
Refer the hardware maintenance manual to understand how to add the memory.
