The ThinkPad Edge E320, E420, E520 can support a maximum of 16 gigs of ram.
I tested 2 x 8 gigs modules in the above system. This is a screen capture of the E320 with 16 gigs of ram installed.

that is what the official listing from Lenovo says, but it supports 16 gigs.
The 16 gigs doesn't boot faster or run any better than having 8 gigs, since i am not really using up all the ram. I did it to test the machine's capability and not really because i needed it.
If you need a speed boost, get a Samsung 830 SSD for it.

Hi, Im curious to know if there is posibility to run 8GB RAMs on 1600Mhz with power input 1,5 V on TP E320.
When I was googling a litle about my i5 2430M the Intel says that there are just two supported memory frequencyes the 1060 and 1300. So that Im assuming there is no way that this book should accept and run 1600 MHz RAMs. So it is not the Lenovo mothereboard that decide about frequencies, am I right? It is the architecture of the i5 M...
I was wondering something like that:
Should be nice.
Another interesting thing about those RAMs that they are supporting the 1,35V power. Is the motherboard capable to run them on 1,35V or there is no way to change it? You know, there should be a litle power savings if MB should run them on lower voltage.
Thans for athe answer!
And thanks for try the 16GBs RAM either!

I've been using two Corsair CMSO8GX3M1A1333C9 8GB DDR3 SODIMM 1333MHz for months now with no issue.
I guess I don't use anywhere near 16GB most of the time but it was cheap and it is handy for virtual machines.
