ThinkPad Edge - E531 - Windows 8.1

Hi there,

My sound isn't working, instead, on the volume control icon there is a red cross and it's telling me that no audio output device has been installed.

I removed the dolby and conexant sotfware from my laptop using the device manager, but the dolby advanced audio app is still on my control panel.

In my device manager, under the 'sound, video and game controllers' tab, the only option I have is Intel(R) Display Audio.

Please could someone tell me how to get my sound back!

Dear hughpjbs,

Welcome in lenovo community,

Please follow the below,

1-From the device manager unfold Audio inputs and outputs >> uninstall Speakers, Microphone.

2-Under sound, video and game controllers >> uninstall Intel(R) Display Audio .

3-Restart the laptop and install the below driver

Regards,

Joseph
