ThinkPad Edge E540 keyboard issue

I have an E540, and the left side of the keyboard keeps getting loose, as seen here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/16602688/2014-04-07%2003.28.26%201.jpg

The same clips fit snugly on the right side of the keyboard. Is this normal? Should I try removing the keyboard and putting it back? I've found the guide here. This is really annoying, since the keyboard makes a rattling sound if this is not fitted properly, I have to push it back once or twice a day.

Re: ThinkPad Edge E540 keyboard issue

Hi,

Had the same problem with a brand new Lenovo Edge E540. About a dozen keys were not fitting properly - with the keyboard looking just like the one on your picture.

Overall working with the notebook was not possible because of the loud rattling sound the keys made. Also some keys could not be operated well, due to getting stuck.

I'm pretty upset since I had ordered the notebook via express and just had to give it back the same day. Testing another Edge E540 at the store, the keyboard there was not much better.
