ThinkPad Edge T70 with Windows 7 cannot start because winload.exe is corrupted

I want to restore to Factory Default my Lenovo ThinkPad Edge  T70 Model 019923U but the winload.exe seems corruped. No matter if I'm starting in the normal mode or in the Recovery mode (Enter, F11) I'm running in the same issue.

This computer is comming with Windows 7 and MS Office 2010 Starter installed but it doesn't come with an installation CD.

This is the the error from the startup screen:

File: \Windows\system32\winload.exe
Status: c000000f
Info: The selected entry cannot be loaded because the selected application is missing or corrupt

How do I restore the Factory Default if I don't have any Installation CD included?

Thanks.

Re: ThinkPad Edge T70 with Windows 7 cannot start because winload.exe is corrupted

Hey there mylenovocomp,

In this instance it looks like you will need to get your hands on some recovery media for Windows 7. If you did not make any recovery media (CDs or USB) then the next best thing is to contact Lenovo Technical support and request recovery media. You may have to do a clean install though. To contact the Canada support line call 1-800-565-3344. They will want your serial number, machine type and model number when you call in. Hope this helps.
