ThinkPad Edge Video Problems

Whenever I'm watching a video and move the laptop, the video pauses for a second or two. This is getting very annoying - I got this laptop (the 14" i3 processor) 3 months ago, is this covered by my warranty? Also, some videos on YouTube show up all green and blurry, to the point where I can't see the video at all except a fuzzy green screen.

Please help!

Re: ThinkPad Edge Video Problems

I'm wondering if this is just my computer or if it's something that I can talk to Lenovo about - please help as I'd really really appreciate it!

Re: ThinkPad Edge Video Problems

The first 'issue' sounds like the Active Protection System kicking in. It's intentional behavior to protect your hard drive; it can't differentiate between intentional movement or a possible drop.

You can turn down the sensitivity by searching Active Protection System in the Start Search.

As for the video thing, I'd consider updating all of your drivers with System Update.
