I have been searching for RAM for my Thinkpad E460, I have got my fingers crossed when I found that E460's specs page has indicates that it supports DDR3L.

BUT, when I checked CPU ID info on my machine, it indicates that I have DDR3 installed. 

My question is: Does it supports Both DDR3 OR DDR3L? Or what exactly does it supports?

It's upgradable to DDR3L, but a DDR3 memory stick came with your computer. You should be able to upgrade to a DDR3L memory module just fine.
