This started showing up on my screen last week, and I'm not sure why. I've had it since mid 2015.
The screen itself hasn't taken external frontal damage (save for light rain drops), and I've rebooted the computer numerous times. More vertical lines have appeared on screen over the past two days, but the line highlighted is both the original and the most consistent.
I've been searching the forums for something to help and I'm lost on what's happening. Do I need to get a replacement screen, or are there a few ways to troubleshoot? If it helps at all, the vertical line pops up after I initially boot up the main screen. There's no problem when entering the password to log in, but the line appears on my desktop.
Thank you all for your time, and hopefully I can clear this up soon!

Welcome to Lenovo Community! And happy to have you here.
As I understand that you are facing issue related to LCD panel in which vertical lines are appearing.
I'll suggest you to check system in BIOS mode whether issue persists there or not.
Also try to move the LCD lid at different angle & see if issue reoccurs and update us how it goes.

Thank you! Great to be here.
I tried what you suggested , and it was a bit tricky at first. Here's a quick log:
10:12 AM Did a check for BIOS mode, as I was still unsure of what that was.
Command Window Display:
Then I went to System Information:
BIOS Mode: UEFI
BIOS Version/Date - LENOVO B9CN16WW, 12/26/14
Took a while to find what I was looking for.
Checking BIOS now...
I wasn't sure what I was looking for, as I've never been in this menu before. I did notice however, that the line is still there:
Unsure how to move the LCD screen around, but I have open and shut the screen a few times.
Overall, your advice has been helpful so far. I'm still unsure what's going on with the LCD, but I feel like I'm closer to understanding it than I was the other day.
Hopefully my findings are of any use.

Thanks for your detailed response and snaps as we can see the line is still there in BIOS. So suspecting issue is there with LCD Panel and it needs to be replaced by Lenovo Support 1-855-253-6686 in order to resolve it.
