I have 3 thinkpads that after a fresh reload are unable to connect to wireless networks. I have gone through and installed the different wireless drivers on the lenovo support website.
I have gone through several steps of similar problems others have had but it hasn't made a difference.
I have installed:
HotKeys & patch
Power manager & driver
The realtek network -ethernet adapter and communications LAN driver
I have installed and removed each wireless adapter available
Thinkpad Edge 15
On a side note in the Device manager screen there is a "Network Controller" alert saying no driver installed for this device. I have determined it is some Realtek device but beyond that I am lost.
Solved! Go to Solution.

I have the same problem with the same laptop. The link provided aboved doesn't fix the issue for me. Still showing unknown network controller.
Welcome to the community!
once you've installed it, please post back. there may or may not be some additional steps to get it fully working.

Glad I could help you out.
I'm going to raise the issue of the driver location. Yours is the 4th or 5th Edge 14/15 that I've worked through that has needed the driver residing in the Edge 13 repository.

Thank you....GURU because clicking on this link is the final point after searching 2 hrs on this LENOVO site to find a driver. Never have I seen anything so complicated and user-unfriendly. Thanks again for your efforts and help! Thanks from Germany (the tech support do not work on Sat and Sun in Germany.........the only two days when I have time and after 8pm.......and they do not work then either)
