Yesterday, I installed BIOS Update Utility (h0uj05ww.exe) version 1.18 on my Thinkpad Edge E530. After the installation, my battery is stuck at 98%. The status shows plugged in, not charging.
I uninstalled and reinstalled Power Manager version 6.36 and Lenovo Power Management Driver version 1.65.05.21. But, it didn't help. (FYI, I have customized the settings to start charging at 90% and stop charging at 100%)
I also tried removing and reinserting the battery and reconnecting the power source. But, it didn't help either.
Any idea ? Please help. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the community.
As per your concern battery is not charging properly it shows shows plugged in.
If your battery has much lesser capacity or does not charge at certain level any longer, you may want to perform a gauge reset on the battery.
Double-click the green "Power Manager" battery icon near the Windows' system clock, usually at the lower-right corner of the screen. If you cannot find this icon, click "Start," "All Programs," "Access IBM" and "Power Manager."
Click the "Battery Information" tab at the top.
Click "Battery Maintenance."
Click "Perform Reset," and then click "Continue" on the confirmation dialog box. This procedure will take more time to complete, and you should not use your ThinkPad during that time. You will be prompted when the battery reset is complete.
Make sure AC adapter plug in when performing gauge reset, do not close system.
