For some time now I receive a failure message from the hardwarescan. The resultcode is: WHD01V002-RK7BRK. The targeted read test failed, all the other tests passed okay. Can anyone tell me what this fault code means and what I could or should do? Is this a serious problem? Actually I don't have any problems with the laptop.
Although I'd like to mention that ThinkVantage System Update doesn't succeed. I get the message 'fault during gathering user information' (translated from Dutch language) and then it stops.
In another thread on this forum I read about a Hard Disk quick test utility, but it is mentioned for Thinkpad Edge e420.

Is this test laptop specific - for e420 and not for e530? Is it advisable to run this test or would this not work on my laptop? (My laptop runs Windows 7 64-bit)

For this error you have to replace the Hard disk drive, make sure you have taken the backup of your personal data.
