I have a Thinkpad Edge E545 that I just got yesterday. The wifi connected straight out of the box, but then after a few minutes it disconnects. After that it will not find the wireless network at all. The only fix is to reboot, and then the same thing happens again.
I called technical support. They started me out with the hardware tech support. Pretty quickly the lady determined that it was a software issue, so she transfered me to the software department. They told me they could fix it, but I had to pay either a onetime fee of $69 or get a subscription to their service at $19 a month. So, for a system I just bought, straight out of the box they won't help me. That sounds like bad technical support to me.
Anyway, any one else have this problem? Or any ideas? I'm pretty close to returning it.
