Finally! I can confirm that the e485 DOES output 4k@60hz via HDMI you just have to Make Sure you Plug it in right fhdjsjsing Port on your TV because on mine (hisense 55inch) All ports are Labeled '4k60' but still only 2 ports are able accept full 4k at 60hz... So Yeah... Problem solved...

EDIT: I'm wrong, the PSREF I linked is for the A485, not the E485. The E485 only has HDMI 1.4.

According to the PSREF, it should be a HDMI 2.0 port. Tangentially, the E485 AMD only has a HDMI 1.4...

http://psref.lenovo.com/Product/ThinkPad/ThinkPad_A485

Is the monitor itself capable of accepting HDMI 2.0 via that specific input? Sometimes (Samsung and LG especially), not all of the HDMI ports on the monitor are HDMI 2.0, and some can be HDMI 1.4 (no 4k60).

The Monitor itself does without a doubt Support 4k60 (and the Port were the Notebook is plugged into does too) maybe i Need a Different Kind of type c to hdmi connector? Tried only this one (https://www.amazon.de/CHOETECH-Delivery-Kompatibel-MacBook-Huawei/dp/B078JZMR9L/ref=pd_lpo_vtph_147_tr_t_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=60CJN086T6WGREB7SJ14) so far...

I read through that adaptor's page, and it seems to be okay.

I only have a couple of questions (and they may be of no help):

Does the HDMI adaptor require the regular USB-C power adaptor to be plugged into the adaptor itself (there is an USB-C port on the back of the adaptor, near the cable)?

May you test the HDMI adaptor with another device, such as a (compatible) phone?

I'm using E485 and can confirm that it's able to output 4k@60hz using HDMI port. I've just tried with my 4K TV (Panasonic EX750). It displayed 30hz at first, then I had to change to 60hz  in the display adapter properties => list all modes.

Not to be poking around, but are you sure it's using 4k60 4:4:4 and not doing some sort of chroma subsampling (4:2:0)? Usually, HDMI 1.4 driving 4k60 does something like that. It would be nice if Lenovo really did implement a proper HDMI 2.0 circuit on the board, taking advantage of the APU's HDMI 2.0 capability.

HDMI 1.4 doesn't have enough bandwidth to carry 4K@60Hz, only 4K@30Hz (3,820x2,160 at 30Hz to be exact).
As for the chroma subsampling I checked with the image here http://i.rtings.com/images/test-materials/2017/chroma-444.png and I'm sure it's 4:4:4 (all lines are readable)
