Where can I find the current sound driver for a thinkpad e440 with Windows 10?

2018-05-10, 20:26 PM

After upgrading to Windows 10 and installing all Lenovo and Windows updates, I no longer have any sound.  I have tried to follow several KB's on the topic, but nothing works.  I have no Sound section in the Device Manager and my System Devices have 2 High Definition Audio Controllers each with a code 32.  I tried to use the Conexiant install software but it fails saying there is no device found.  Is there a fix to getting the sound?

Thanks  I found this driver and tried to install, however, it fails with an error saying it Could not find the device for this driver.

I have no section in the Device Manager for sound, but under the System Devices, there are 2 High Definition Audio Controllers which are disabled with error code 32 and events show device not migrated due to an ambiguous match.  Does this mean the Laptop sound is unusable for Windows 10?
