hey,
i'm considering e560. working outside/with open windows is a must. notebookcheck review is not clear.
anyone here that owns e560 is willing to post a picture of the screen in full brightness (outside in the sun, outside in the shade, or near an open window) ?
thanks

The sun isn't very intense where I am at the moment, but here are a few pics taken close to a window with the screen set to 100% brightness. I would say the ones taken at an angle are the worst case because I aligned the camera right into the path of the reflection.
Sorry about not embedding the images. I couldn't find the option to do so when I wrote my message.
Normally I find that setting the screen brightness to 40% is sufficient for use during the day in a well-lit room (natural or artificial light).

thank you! it seems pretty bright but it's still hard to say.
any chance you can take the same pictures outside in the shade?

As the temperature is quite a bit below zero at the moment, I'd rather not take my laptop outside. Instead I've taken a couple of shots in what's hopefully the next best location - a conservatory surrounded with windows but not exposed to direct sunlight. Once again, the screen brightness was set to 100%.

thanks again!
unfortunately the room itself is not shown in the pictures, so it's hard to esstimate how bright it is.
if you have the picture with the room in the background, please upload it.

here are more pictures of the screen (full brightness, near a window):
In courtesy of e560guy.
sadly, according to notebookcheck, it's the same screen that lenovo uses in thinkpad P50.
