after starting windows there pops up some windows asking me to restart
and it seems it sometimes installs some software and many times fails to install some drivers
because there is a list in the device manager of unklnown devices, which gets longer and longer every time this happens
I have an edge 535 and windows home premium 64

Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!
I’m sorry to hear that you have missing drivers in the device manager of your Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 535.
I would suggest you to run Think Vantage system update which will automatically download and update the latest drivers for your device.
Hope this helps!

If system update is not able to retrieve updates for your system, you can manually download the drivers from Lenovo Support page. Enter the MTM number of your machine in the quick path and manually download the related drivers under drivers and downloads section. If you have any difficulties, please share the MTM number of your device and the details of the missing drivers.
Hope to hear back from you soon!

MTM number can be found in BIOS or install Lenovo solution center and you can find it under system information.
Else, you can find it at the bottom of your laptop.
I hope you are using the latest system update to get the driver updates. If you can’t still get the latest updates, possibly the updates were not included in the package and you have to wait for it. In that case, you have to manually download and install the drivers. Sorry about that.

Great, so your update packages are not so good maintained?
I am already using the latest version of the utility but will try some drivers from the website.
Can you give me the direct link to the right website with the drivers?
