Brand new Thinkpad e560 repeatedly loses wifi connection

Our computer arrived this week, and we find that when we stream a television show,  it repeatedly drops the wifi connection. Power management is set to high performance, so that's not it.


Concerningly, it regularly insists, after losing wifi connection, that it cannot even find our router, and sometimes when it does, it finds it, attempts to connect, and then says, "Can't connect to this wifi." But all the other devices in the house are connecting fine, and all lights on the router are steady-on.


Any suggestions? It's currently much easier to watch a show on the old computer than the new, alas.

Welcome to Lenovo Community. Have you checked the drivers and downloads page for an updated wifi driver?

There are different drivers for the E560 depending on whether your operating system is 32-bit or 64-bit, so be sure to enter that information when you search for one.
