Symptoms

Under some circumstances, a fan error message may be displayed on some ThinkPad 11e or ThinkPad Yoga 11e systems at boot  up.                   

Diagnosis

Models affected include

 

ThinkPad 11e (Type 20E6, 20E8, 20ED, 20EE)

ThinkPad Yoga 11e (Type 20E5, 20E7)

 

 

Solution

Update the BIOS to version 1.10  or later (Type 20ED, 20EE) or version 1.56 (Type 20E6, 20E8, 20E5, 20E7).
