I have just bought ThinkPad Edge 11 (0328-2TA). Since I bought it, the speaker is mute. I have set the speaker controller to maximum.
I have checked in Device Manager the driver, but it looks ok.
In the Device Manager, under Sound, Audio and Game Controller, there are two devices listed
- Conexant CX20582 SmartAudio HD
- Intel (R) Display Audio
I tried to connect the earphone and can hear the sound. I also have reinstall the driver from http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/default.
Please help me to figure out how to solve this problem. Tq!

As the sound is coming in headphone, the issue could be with the Internal speakers
If the laptop is in warranty then you can contact the support center and get the service.
