What to do about battery? e420s

[ Edited ]

I just got my thinkpad e420s on thursday and I'm not too sure what to do about the battery, it's built in. I don't need my laptop outside my room so I don't usually take my laptop out so I would prefer leaving it plugged in, but that isn't good for the battery is it? It's also not a good idea to keep charging and discharging in my room. so what am I supposed to do? I changed the threshold to optimized for battery health, but does that mean I can leave the laptop plugged in with no damage or wear to the battery?

what can I do to conserve the battery's health?

have a look at this, and see whether you can set the battery.

does that mean I can just leave the charger plugged in when I have it set to optimized for battery health?
