Can I trade my lenovo?

2008-05-24, 6:20 AM
I bought lenovo think pad R61i a few months ago, I love this laptop but I need to upgrade for more faster laptop. Because my R61i lenovo is very...very slow...and I use vista home premium.....and this is my lenovo data:
Intel(R)Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T5250@1.50GHz
Total memory RAM 2037 MB
Total HD 160 GB
With DVD/CDRW

So if someone know how can I trade my lenovo with another IBM product, please let me know.

Try this first-if you haven't already, create the recovery disc set, then re-install the Vista OS and drivers only- skip everything else, especially the non essential thinkvantage stuff. IT will be much, much faster, I promise.  Half the stuff that this notebook comes installed with you do not need.  When I got mine, with very similar specs to yours, I was astounded at how slow and erratic it was, I honestly thought it was broken or I had a lemon. The re-install, along with reading on this forum for several days is what saved me, and my R61i Notebook purchase.  Honestly , I can hardly believe that Lenovo sells these configured the way they do- If companies sold cars that you had to rebuild after purchasing just to make them drivable, they would be run out of business.  Good Luck!

Personally I would :

1. Make restore discs first.

2. Do a selective recovery using the F11 key at startup. Choose Restore to factory condition. Continue paying attention until you see the selective recovery option. Then deselect the things you do not want to install.

3. Once Vista is running go to the performance menu and set it to best performance.
