Cursor jumping and touchpad not working properly for Lenovo ThinkPad R61.

2020-12-08, 22:34 PM

Hi,

I bought my Lenovo ThinkPad R61. For the primary few weeks of use, I didn't have any points. Then, I began having extra occurrences of cursor/touchpad points to the purpose the place it occurs each hour of use (not an exterior mouse challenge).

Jumps round on display screen (just a few millimeters to inches).

Transfer incrementally by itself with out me anyplace close to the laptop computer (typically spazzes to the left).

Not enable scrolling/regular touchpad capabilities when points are occurring.

Capabilities as if I'm holding down the clicking button whereas I attempt to transfer it - most irritating half when I'm doing necessary work.

Randomly click on stuff as I try to maneuver it.

I had also checked online sensitivity of my touchpad from this website https://tecagile.com/ and it was working correctly.

Here's what I've tried to do to repair it and has not labored:

Roll again driver (did not work).

Replace driver (no updates out there).

Reset machine (works for a minute or so).

Restart (I do that each day anyway).

Cut back cursor pace and different mouse choices recommended on-line.

I've seen comparable points for the Lenovo ThinkPad R61, however no precise fixes have been proposed. Please assist me with this challenge.

Thanks.

I have a similar issue on my L380 yoga.

Symptom:
- Touchpad does not work properly.

- When using the touchpad, the mouse jumps around the screen and moves at different speeds making it incredibly frustrating to use.

- Some portions of the touchpad seem to be unresponsive.

Attempted fixes:
- Disable ELAN (not a viable solution)

- Update all drivers related to touchpad

- Turn computer off and on

This issue makes it an UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE TO USE THE LAPTOP. Has anyone found any solutions to this issue?
