How can I be sure that my Thinkpad Pen (hardware) is fine? In Linux it's not working at all

2020-05-04, 9:58 AM

Hi,

I've just bought a ThinkPad L13 Yoga with no pre-installed operating system and put a Linux distribution (Manjaro) in it. ThinkPad Pen didn't work at all (although touchscreen works). I've installed Ubuntu, a more popular distribution, to see if things could be different, but exactly the same behaviour.

If this is an issue with drivers or configuration, I'm fine. I fear though that this could be a problem with hardware. How can I ensure that it's okay (or not) before returning the laptop?

As I've never had before a computer with such a functionality, I don't even know how "hardware" this stylus actually is.

Thanks!
