L490 Bios update destroys audio

When the computer is updated from BIOS version 1.24
For BIOS version 1.25 the built-in speakers stop working
How can I block the BIOS from being automatically updated by lenovo vantage
Also how can I contact Lenovo Support to update the glitch and hear maybe there is another solution besides manually restoring the BIOS to a reverse version?

I suggest that you try the BIOS and software update thru the support site instead of the Vantage app.
Load the BIOS defaults, then save before exiting.
Update us how it goes

I suggest that you update the drivers thru the support website.

 

Do not use Vantage for the meantime.


After the drivers are up to date, then observe the machine. If it's running ok, try to update the BIOS to 1.25 thru the same support website.

Test the speakers afterwards.
