My Thinkpad L380 Yoga Broken, Can't Locate Parts!

2019-12-18, 21:47 PM

I followed the old thread asking similar things but I am not able to find any parts for L380 Yoga. I tried:

https://lenovo.encompass.com/

https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/thinkpad-l-series-laptops/thinkpad-l380-yoga-type-20m7-20m8/20m7/parts?linkTrack=Homepage:Body_Search%20Products&searchType=4&keyWordSearch=L380%20Yoga%20%28type%2020M7%2C%2020M8%29%20Laptops%20%28ThinkPad%29%20-%20Type%2020M7

If I enter  number starting 20M******** it says no match

If I enter serial number R90***** it says no match

if I enter MB number WIK******* it says no match

I think Lenovo is actively hiding the replacement parts so that people are forced to buy another same laptop. I am sick to my stomach. What I need is touchpad with two clicker, touch LCD paenl, glass cover.  If I could afford it, I would swap everything above besel because it is bended.

Thank you in advance for all the sugeestion you may give. I am lost.  I run linux so I gather all the info with lshw and BIOS screen.  Search box is asking for model number but there is no such thing listed in BIOS or lshw command.

I can't go along with your conspiracy theory, but randomly grabbing a display part # from the page you linked - 02DA315 - I see it at Amazon, Encompass, eBay, ...

02DA313 is actually available on the Lenovo page you linked.
