R61 Disply settings Downgrade to XP

2008-11-14, 12:20 PM

I have downgraded from vista to XP on my R61 and when I use any other display settings other than the maximum the whole display is very blurry.

Does anyone else experience this and is there a driver update / patch which can resolve this?

Welcome paulplatypus,

1- Do you have a dedicated or integrated graphics card in your R61?

2- What do you mean exactly when you say "settings other than the maximum"?

Also, you might want to read this thread.

Thank you

I have the nvida integrated graphics card.

When I set the resolution to 1680 x 1050 the screen is fine. If I reduce the resolution to say 1280 x 768 the whole display looks fuzzy.

That's perfectly normal. No laptop LCD is calibrated to tolerate resolution lower than its native one, which in your case is WSXGA+.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

George
