R61e - is there an internal wireless card in this book?

2008-05-19, 20:30 PM
I have R61e 7649 - AE8 with Windows XP. All drivers works fine, but I have no wireless card in my "Network connections" or Device manager. Sure, I try all drivers from official website. May be, my book simply have not an wireless card?
Thanks a lot. This trouble make me crazy about a week.

Have you tried Fn+F5 to turn the wireless on?

I'm not sure if this is relevant, as I haven't looked at how it effects devices in Device Manager, but ...
Have you checked the wireless hardware switch is turned on? It's located on the front of the notebook about 4cm in from the left, sort of hidden under the edge.
