SL500 dual monitor display

2013-11-02, 4:26 AM

I was wondering if someone could help me.  I have an SL500 and need to hook up 2 projectors to it to display the same image from the laptop on 2 screens.  I have done a little research, but there are so many options and I'm not sure if I am considering the most efficient method of doing this.  I also am a bit intimidated by all of the specifications and am not sure if what I was going to purchase would be compatible.

The 2 projectors I need to connect to are a Dell M410HD and a Dell 2300 MP.  I was looking at splitters on this site, but don't know which one is the best/compatible for my laptop:

Thanks in advance.

vga splitters will do, but if your cable is too long, the signal will degrade.

Alternatively you can use the Dell M410HD with your HDMI port, and the Dell 2300 MP with the vga port. This will give the highest quality.

Thanks Jin Li.  I should have mentioned that I do need one of the cables to be about 200 ft long so I guess the vga cable is no good for that one. The signal won't be degraded if I use a 200 ft HDMI cable with the Dell M410HD projector and a regular VGA cable (standard length) with the Dell 2300 MP??

Actually, I think I would need something like this in order to carry the HDMI signal 200 ft.  No??

as long as you use a signal booster for the hdmi, then it should be fine. The setup you have sounds like it should work.
