ThinkPad L13 Yoga (Gen 2) loud fan and heat

Hi,

I am experiencing problems with my new ThinkPad L13 Yoga (Gen 2). It creates a very loud fan noise and seems to heat quite fast despite the laptop being brand new. Seems the fan runs to the max upon startup and does not slow down. The sound is as if I was running video game at peak settings, but I my CPU usage is at ~20%. This is especially evident when charging.

I am running Windows 10 (64-bit) and have fully updated Windows 10. Also, I have installed all Lenovo updates here in the site (I am also fully updated in Vantage). Also reviewed the forums here and internet, to no avail.

Based on similar posts it seems it can be a BIOS issue. Currently my up-to date suggest BIOS version (as per Lenovo) is 1.03., but I see that there is a 1.04 update (1.04 BIOS ID: (R1PET12W)) available if I search Drivers manually.

Tried to install this 1.04 Driver using ThinkPad BIOS Flash Update Utility, but unsuccessfully. It gave me an error that "BIOS directly cannot be found." and I am stuck at this point.

Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?

Hope someone can assist on this matter. Thanks and best regards,

Edmunds
