Upgrade HDD

2008-03-10, 18:13 PM
I have a new R61i with 2GB of RAM. However, I would like to upgrade the HDD from 80GB-5400rpm (cheap dad what can I say) to a drive that runs at a speed of 7200rpm. Does anyone know the maximum size drive I can buy to replace my existing HDD?
I have been informed my Lenovo customer service that if I upgrade the drive my notebook will still be under warranty. Is this correct?

The drive needs to be a 2.5" S-ATA with 9mm height drive, other than that - happy upgrading.
The warranty on your TP will not be affected as the hdd is a CRU (Customer Replaceable Unit), however if the hdd dies it will not be covered by the warranty.
