User defined key no hotkey option anymore

2019-08-25, 17:42 PM

Hi,

I recently had to update Lenovo Vantage and a few PC updates in the vantage app as well. Since then, there's no option to use the user-defined key (on the F12 key) as a hotkey anymore. Before I had it set up to CTRL + ALT + G which was linked to an app in the start menu. Now I only have the option to open a website or to enter text. Is there a solution to this? Thanks

Solution :

In control panel, choose "all control panel items" (view by: small icons), then click on "Lenovo - Keyboard Manager".

There are all the options that were in Lenovo Vantage before:  user-defined key, FN/shortcut keys swap and other options and FN/CTRL keys swap.

This helped me too

Thanks! This helped me, too. I've been trying to find this out for at least six months.

What I do not understand is why Lenovo hid the functionality from their "all-in-one" Vantage program.

I was pleased to discover that I can ALSO actually launch four different programs from the user-defined key, using Ctrl, Alt & Shift.

Now I just need to find out how I can redefine F1-F4 special functions (audio control) since those keys are all duplicated on my keyboard above the numeric keypad...

And, of course, it would be nice to redefine a few other keys, too...

I can not find Lenovo - Keyboard Manager in my control panel. (see screenshot)

Anybody who knows how to fix this?

Same issue here, everything is updated, and going through my control panel there isn't any option to configure the Lenovo Keyboard... Don't know what else to do

It's not in the "basic" keyboard settings, it's in the Lenovo ones (on my control panel screenshot, in the 4th column)
