AC adapter r61

Hello I live in Brazil and the energy source (ac adpter) of my THINKPAD R61 has a problem and need to buy one. specifications of the source I have is saying it has 65 watts and 3.25 amps, just that I find no original source with these specifications, I found only one with 90watts and 4.50 amps, I was in doubt whether to buy it, and no one better to trust unless you!
the following doubts: If I buy this source with 90 watts and 4.50 amps, it will damage my thinkpad R61?
Thank you, kindly wait for a response.
Andre Borges.

Re: AC adapter r61

Hi andreboorges, and welcome to the Lenovo User Community!

The 90W adapter won't damage your R61. You just need at least 65W.

Hope this helps!
