Blue/purple tint on screen

So I turned on my laptop after not using this one for a while, and immediately the screen had a blue tint with purple streaks across it (pictured). I had this issue a few months back while I was in school, and I was able to take it to tech support there and get it fixed. They said it was some update that was needed, but I don't remember exactly what it was. All I know for sure is that it was determined that it wasn't a hardware/LED issue. Does anyone know or have any ideas what the issue could be and how it could be fixed? Thanks!unnamed.jpg

Re: Blue/purple tint on screen

Welcome to the forum!

This looks to me like a bad panel. What happen if you apply some pressure with your fingers on the top or the bottom of the screen? (At the same height as the purple bars).

Re: Blue/purple tint on screen

Nothing actually happens when I apply pressure to the screen.
