Can I replace my R60 hard drive with a 320GB 7200RPM drive

Is there any reason I cannot install a ThinkPad 320GB 7200 RPM SATA drive (43N3411) as the primary internal hard drive on my R60 (9456-57U)? I can't tell from the description whether they are saying it can only go in the little drawer where the DVD writer normally lives. Has anyone done this? Thanks, Charles

yes that will work as the primary  harddrive or in the Hard Drive Bay Adapter II use rescue & recovery to make a backup of your harddrive on dvd then use the dvds to image the new harddrive

Re: Can I replace my R60 hard drive with a 320GB 7200RPM drive

Thanks. I was about 90% confident -- already ordered the drive, although Lenovo is not going to ship it for another week, so I could still cancel -- but I'm grateful for your reassurance.

I've got Ghost already installed (use it for backup) and a friend has a USB/SATA enclosure, so hopefully this will be a piece of cake. (Hopefully easier, at least, than my recent two-days of hair-pulling to hook up a "plug and play" monitor.)
