I have a new Lenovo Thinkpad L380 (Windows 10 Pro), that is less than a month old. Recently however, the fingerprint sensor has stopped functioning. I had already registered my fingerprint and it doesn't seem to work to unlock the laptop anymore. Trying to reregister my fingerprint in the settings opens up the registration screen ("Touch the fingerprint sensor"), then proceeds to ("Great, touch finger again") and then simply stays there.
I have tried to clean the sensor as well as update the drivers (from the device manager) and it hasn't helped. I don't believe it to be a hardware issue as the laptop is new. Any help would be appreciated.
