My backups have been done with version 2.04.0182 but I don't see it on Lenovo's web site to download. I've received the Recovery disk set twice, but apparently missing the disk that includes R&R to be put into a partition area before running disks 1-4. Anyway, is there a way to download the above version of R&R?
Thanks, in advance---

The first disk of the set of 4 is the boot disc, there weren't separate boot discs when the R40 was current. It should actually state "bootable" on the disc.
Using the discs wil totally erase the hard drive including all files etc. and return the system to factory state.

Disk 1 of 4 went into "wiping the hard drive clean" and installing XP-Pro. (no disk says "bootable" on it). For the R40, only disks 1 and 2 seem to be needed. Instructions in IBM letter with the disk set say "depending on your computer model, there will be one or more non-bootable CDs." (set is also for NetVista and ThinkCenter computers)
I'm getting conflicting info re: the Recovery disk set for the R40, model 2681: On one call to Lenovo support, Atlanta, the tech said that one disk (1 of 1) is for the original Access IBM info, including Rescue and REcovery, so that it can be re-installed to a partitioned area, before loading the disks 1-4. Out of many calls, this is the only time I heard this. However, others weren't clear on why Disk 1 of 1 is entitled "Security Update CD for Access Support" and weren't familiar with it.
Does this help clarify my situation? At this point, it sounds like I'll need a different Disk 1 of 1, to get the Access IBM info loaded back onto the drive.
