Is there an in-production L530 power adapter?

2018-01-22, 23:34 PM

Is there an in-production power adapter for the L530? The official FRU list hasn't been updated since 2013 and all the adapters listed seem to be out of production.

Will the newer 95W or 90W 20.0V adapters (FRU 40Y7659 and 40Y7696) work?

You dont mention if you have discrete graphics or not.  That will determine if you need 65 or 90 Watt adapter.  I found it in the option compatability matrix for November 2017 for L530.  See below.  Looks like the 40Y7659 part is compatible.  If you want 65 watt lenovo charger that can be bought at the below link.  Please reconfirm before buying.  I am going by what Lenovo shows as compatible parts on support site and compatibility chart.

If you want 90 watt:

That part is listed as compatible per support for 90watt:
